Savi Janapareddi is a First-Line Supervisor in the Software and Applications Engineering Division at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Being a first-generation immigrant from the Indian Sub-Continent as well as a proud mother to a high school freshman daughter pursuing STEM, Savi understands firsthand the many challenges many young women face in the field of science and engineering. Savi continues to broaden her education, being a recent executive MBA graduate from Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico.
Over the last 10 years, she has volunteered as a Girl Scouts Troop Treasurer, Math Pentathlon Coach, Hill-Talkers New Mexico Speech and Debate Association Treasurer and a board member, Judge, a Co-Presenter at the Expanding Your Horizon’s Santa Fe Chapter. Savi has the following to say: “I enjoy working with kids while helping them shape their career and giving them clarity on the variety of career options that are available for them. If I can help in any capacity to empower girls to become leaders of tomorrow by sharing my experiences and in turn learning from them, I would consider that I have made a difference.”
