Let's make Ooey, Gooey Polymers - an EYH Workshop Overview

This Expanding Your Horizons Workshop demonstrated the properties of polymers through a hands-on demonstration of cross-linking polyvinyl alcohol with a borax solution thereby changing the properties of the polymer. Another experiment done in the workshop was to demonstrate the change of rubbery properties by cooling a rubber band below the Tg. Mary and Debra will repeat some of the demonstrations for the LunchTalk audience.

Members and Nonmembers Welcome!

The room is reserved from 11:30 to 1:30 so people to can get together and network before and/or after the talk. Bring your lunch or pick up something at the Hot Rocks Java Cafe on the 2nd floor. You are welcome to come early, late, or for just the talk at noon, and questions are encouraged!
